Lift up your Anchors and Sail…

Lift up your Anchor and Sail.

Recently we wrote a book that is gaining attention from those who have either been stuck, or are finding themselves in a position where they have run aground.   The book, Lift up your Anchors and Sail is about how to navigate and remain free to move forward.  It makes sense to know your direction and move toward that direction always being concerned about threats, and opportunities along the path of success.  It is hard to be the captain sometimes because when you are in danger it is often impossible to know what to do.  I remember a day where we were in a small aircraft and I was sitting in the co-pilots seat next to an inexperienced pilot.  There were clouds in front of us and he was considering his options.  Should we fly around these clouds or go through them.  He looked at me and smiled as he determined to fly through.  This decision at the time seemed harmless, yet when we did go into these clouds we were tossed to and fro.  I understood what it meant to be white knuckled and how an experience like this builds instant character.

Business is like that sometimes, and we need to sometimes learn from out experiences so we are stronger, more capable and even on the other side more confident.

Lifting up your anchors and sailing means you take risk, you learn to focus and move ahead.  Just remember, it does not mean you keep holing the anchor.  Let the anchor go, take your position at the helm.
